Orvillo Terms of Use

Last updated: 4 November 2026.

These terms apply to your use of the Orvillo app. The app is provided by Olimstad Apps, Flåtestadveien 137, 1415 Oppegård, Norway, organisation number 938 810 885 ("we").

  1. The service. Orvillo records audio on your device and, if you choose, turns it into text using AI. Recordings and transcripts are stored on your device. You are responsible for keeping your own copies.

  2. Recording other people. You must follow the laws that apply where you record. Tell the people you record and, where required, get their agreement. Don't use Orvillo to record anyone secretly or unlawfully.

  3. Acceptable use. Don't:

    • misuse the transcription service, for example by automating requests, getting around usage limits or reverse engineering the service
    • process content that is illegal
    • interfere with the service or other users

We may limit or block devices that break these rules.

  4. Free usage and limits. Transcription is free within the limits shown in the app. We may change these limits, or pause transcription temporarily (for example during abuse or outages).

  5. AI accuracy. Transcripts are created automatically and can contain mistakes, especially with background noise, dialects or several people talking at once. Summaries are written by AI from the transcript: they can leave out or misstate details, and they never replace the transcript or professional advice. Check important content before you rely on it. Don't use Orvillo as your only record for medical, legal or safety-critical purposes.

  6. Privacy. See the Privacy Policy. AI transcription is used only with your explicit consent.

  7. Availability and changes. The app is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may change or discontinue features.

  8. Liability. To the extent Norwegian law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses or for loss of recordings or transcripts. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.

  9. Law. These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes go to the ordinary Norwegian courts, unless mandatory consumer law gives you other rights.
